Sustainability
Considered isn't a marketing word for us. It's how every formula is made, and every choice that surrounds it.
Made in Australia.
Every Skin Theorie formula is made in Australia, in a GMP-certified manufacturing facility. Not outsourced overseas. Not white-labelled. Made here, where we can stand behind every batch.
GMP certification — Good Manufacturing Practice — is the same quality standard required of therapeutic goods and pharmaceuticals. It governs every aspect of how a formula is made: how ingredients are sourced, how they're handled, how they're tested, how they're packaged. It's not optional for us.
Vegan & cruelty-free.
Every Skin Theorie formula is vegan. No animal-derived ingredients. No exceptions.
No product is tested on animals at any stage of development. No raw material is sourced from suppliers who test on animals. No exceptions.
Packaging that earns its place.
Glass primary packaging — recyclable through standard kerbside collection in most Australian council areas.
Dropper and pump components — recyclable through specialist programs. We're working toward fully recyclable closures in future production runs.
Outer cartons and presentation boxes — FSC-certified paper, recyclable.
Shipping — paper-based void fill, recyclable cardboard. No plastic mailers.
Fewer products, on purpose.
The most sustainable product is the one you don't need to replace. Skin Theorie was built around five formulas — not fifty — because every formula a brand makes has a footprint. Manufacturing, packaging, shipping, eventually waste.
A five-product ritual that lasts three months is fundamentally lower-impact than a ten-product routine replaced every six weeks.
Native Australian botanicals.
Kakadu plum. Quandong. Lilly pilly. Wattleseed. Sourced from Australian suppliers — supporting native plant agriculture and traceable supply chains, not extracted from rainforests on the other side of the world.
What we're still working on.
This page isn't a list of perfect achievements. There are things we're still working toward — refillable packaging formats, carbon-neutral shipping, broader recycling solutions for our closures.
We don't believe in claiming sustainability that hasn't been earned. So this is what's true today, and what's coming next.
